Good food for a Chinese buffet, however, when it takes 20 minutes to get drinks, and then another 20 mins to get a refill, you obviously need to install a fountain and let customers get their own.

We've been taking our kids for so long that the staff recognize us and are exceedingly friendly. Try the walnut chicken, it's fantastic. The Mongolian grill was a nice addition. Lots of bang for your buck. It's a buffet, not the Cliff House.

The things I like: all you can eat, spring rolls and stuffed wonton, mongolian grill with yummy choices, sushi, plenty of seating and easy access for handicap people. Things I dont like: not the cleanest restaurant in the city, some of the buffet offerings look like they have been there awhile, and many aren't labeled so you dont know for sure what it is. Staff is friendly and keep the tables cleared. Worth the money if your hungry!

When we arrived we immediately went to the sushi bar that was not stocked. The other bars had a 1/3 to 1/2 of the bins/pans empty and never got refilled while we were there. The remaining selection was very poor quality. With a large amount of guests still in the restaurant the staff started clearing what was left on the bars. My family of three left hungry after getting a full price bill. Once I complained they gave me 8 dollars off the check. Very unsatisfied. Will not be returning here. Ps. Their staff won't talk to woman because of their customs so they ignored me to talk to my husband. This made me more angry, to say the least. Tandie G. Mother and wife.

Lunch was cheap; $10 for buffet and drink. It's about an hour later and I'm not feeling tip-top. Many items on the buffet, especially the Mongolian area, looked to be kept at the wrong temperature. There's better.

My fiancee and I moved here a few months ago and this is the second Chinese buffet we have tried in the Springs and easily the second worst. They have an extremely small selection of actual food and their "sushi" bar is terrible. They have a little nigri and I know that they're not going to have top quality California rolls, but every bit of it was crusty and fell apart as I picked it up. The food was average at best except for the egg rolls, which were the best things about that place. To top it all off, the price is outrageous for a Chinese buffet. The quality was worth $8 a person, MAYBE. Instead we payed almost $16 per person (if you get a drink other than water) for a grand total of over $30. I hope they pay their employees well for the price we payed. And I'm going to stop before I get to the terrible service that never asked us if we wanted more to drink.

The kimchee was rancid. I should have known when I was scooping some on my plate. I thought the sauce seemed a bit thick and syrupy. Not a good sign. Putting it in my mouth was a mistake. The sushi was okay although I steered clear of the raw ones. The wasabi sauce had a weird texture and seemed thinned out. There were some good options but I think overall most dishes seemed a little old. I am not sure I will be back. There are better buffet options in town, well at least one.

Horrible. Not clean. Service non existent. How this place manages to stay in business is beyond me. Food is tasteless to awful. The reason for this post is if I become deathly ill they can trace back to this place

This is the worst place ever! The service is horrible as well as the food...oh wait i never got my food. Waited over two hours then called only to find out they never received my order. The young lady ,Marda or something like that was rude and put the blame on me because their internet was down. i will never go there( it being my first time) and i advise you to take your money and eat elsewhere.. (oh and i had to leave "a" star.)

We like the food. Love the buffet to go option and they deliver. They seem to keep weird hours though. Just make sure you know they're going to be open before going. From personal experience, it's annoying to get there and find its one of their odd closed times. Also, if you do buffet to go, you get the same size to-go container for both lunch and dinner, the menu is almost identical, but dinner will cost you about $4 more. Doesn't seem right to me. I think you should get a bigger container for dinner. They also won't let you take crab legs to go, which is fine by me, I don't eat them, but might bother some.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!!!!! I put an order in, waited for two hours, got charged, and they told me the order was never accepted. Then when I called to find out about the order, the girl hung up in me. Horrible online service and horrible customer service. I don't think I'll ever order from here again.

Love this place. My experiences there have almost always been good ones. Whenever I don't want to drive to the Ultimate Buffet this is much closer. My advice for this or any buffet is try to get there when it opens if possible. Everything is so fresh then!

Not too bad... It's a buffet in a ghetto area sooo you can't expect it to be Broadmoor standards (unfortunately). Not my favorite place, but hubby likes coming here.

Yum-o! Went for dinner on a Sunday night and everything was flavorful and delicious. It has been years since I have gone. They did change owners and the quality of food went way down. But now they have the original owners back, so the flavor is back. It was a little pricey for dinner, but the lunch seems like a good deal. (Just know they do not have the seafood bar open for lunch)

Food was so so..not the best. Egg drop soup was overcooked. Main problem was being asked to pay a quarter of the way through our meal and then being given "last call" for food twenty minutes after being seated. Another couple came in after us and had same reaction. Will not be back. A dollar a minute to eat is not acceptable. The hours don't say it but they close at two thirty. Last call for buffet is two thirty five.

Changing owners has not helped this place. Drive to the Ultimate Buffet

Price was awesome. Food was extremely fresh and crispy unlike other buffets I've ate at. It also has fresh made on the spot Japanese sushi. I highly reccomend this place

Taste of China is Chinese food like Colorado Springs is a city. There are noodles, soy sauce, and other Chinese like ingredients, but we're talking about an Americanized buffet with all the charm of a cargo ship cafeteria. I can understand and confess to a twice yearly craving for this style of food - over sweet, greasy. And, if that's your thing, Taste of China is passable. The lunch buffet is cheap: 8 bucks. All you can eat. I wouldn't try the sushi, aside from the cooked variety (California rolls made with (K)rab). The rest of the buffet won't give you food poisoning - but it will make you obese. Just look around at your fellow diners for a glimpse into what this type of diet will do to you. There is an entire buffet table labeled "Deep Fried Food" including generic tasting egg rolls, spring rolls, tater tots(!!), chicken on a stick, and sweet and sour chicken/shrimp. Another table has common items like sesame chicken, steamed/fried rice, kung pao whatever, and some pretty decent noodle dishes. There was one tray of green beans; vegetables probably aren't a popular item with this lunch crowd: primarily over weight defense contractors, retirees, teenage man-children dressed in over sized clothing, and the type of women you can imagine want to have babies with a 35 year old who still rides a bmx bicycle. There are two other tables: desserts, and salad. Since lunch provided me three days of calories, and plenty of trans-fat, I avoided the dessert table. The salad table had jello, fruit, and some salad stuff, but seriously - who eats salad at an Chinese-ican buffet? If you find yourself in the defense contractor's ghetto (near the airport), Taste of China might be a fine place to take a co-worker for a farewell lunch after he's been transferred to another contract. You'll not only contribute to the local economy, but you'll be encouraging America's obesity fueled health care crisis.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
